Doctor Luis Carlos Pastor, MD.
Costa Rica Newlook is proud to include Dr. Pastor as part of our plastic surgery staff. He is a fully licensed cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon since 1978, when he graduated as a plastic surgeon from the University of Costa Rica, the leading higher education institution in the country.
Since then, he has been practicing professionally in his field for over 25 years, providing quality services under high professionalism and modern technology standards in Costa Rica.
Credentials and Qualifications
- Currently Head of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Hospital Mexico, one of the countries most prestigious and largest hospitals in the country.
- Formely National Coordinator of the Costa Rican Social Security Administration's Malpractice Committee at Hospital Mexico, were he was also Assistant Physician and Deputy Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Associate Professor of the University of Costa Rica and Costa Rica's Iberoamericana University
- Director of the plastic surgery post-graduate program at University of Costa Rica.
- As a member of FILACP Costa Rica (International Federation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), he was Joint Secretary of the Latin American Plastic Surgery Federation for Costa Rica.
- Plastic surgeon at Catholic Hospital and Clinic.
- Member of the Costa Rican Medical Association.
- Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Costa Rican Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Association on several occasions.
Dr. Pastor has attended and lectured at numerous major national and international congresses and symposia on medical, plastic surgery, breast surgery, rehabilitation, disaster and trauma, and aesthetic surgery as well as those of FILACP.
As part of his personal continued preparation and updating schedule, he has continuously taken specialized courses and attended workshops on subjects such as facial trauma, peeling, aesthetic plastic surgery, and body implants.
